2 Month Update | Anya

Anya is 2 months old now! We're getting more into a routine, though she keeps deciding to change things up. 😂

 5 Weeks

 6 Weeks

 7 Weeks

8 Weeks

Here are some facts about Anya at 2 months old:

Clothing: She's fully transitioned to 0-3 months clothes now except for a few newborn pieces here and there. The 0-3m onesies are still a liiiitle big on her.
Diapers: She's still in size 1 diapers, but I don't think it will be too long before we go up a size.
Sleeping: For most of month #2 she was a sleeping champ. Starting out she would take 2 short naps in the morning, 1 long nap in the afternoon, and 1-2 short naps in the evening. Her long nap is usually 3-5 hours long. Oh yes. She gets fussy in the evening and wants to eat a lot before she goes to bed.
Her bedtime is around 8-9 PM. She usually sleeps for a 5-6 hour stretch, then wakes a few times to eat after that. She'll be up for the day at around 6:30-8:00 AM.
Weight: She was 10 lbs 6 ounces at 7 weeks.
Tummy Time: I try to give Anya tummy time after every diaper change as long as she hasn't fed recently. She'll only be happy for a few minutes before fussing, but she can hold her head up pretty well, and she's even trying to do "mini pushups" already. I don't think it will be too long before she rolls over!
Temperament: She is such a sweetie. She is very alert when she's awake, but usually only fusses/cries when she has a need or is tired.
Misc.: Anya started to really smile lots at around 7 weeks. She'll even give me a little chuckle now then!
We had Anya's tongue tie clipped more at her 7 week checkup. Even though she was nursing well, I could tell that she still had a posterior tie. I'm so glad I made the decision to clip it again! I saw an almost immediate improvement in nursing, with less spitting up, choking, and burping. And it may have been a coincidence, but I think she started smiling more afterwards.
I took her to the chiropractor the day after she got her tongue tie clipped. Her neck and right hip her tight. I've been inverting her after diaper changes as well to help keep her in alignment.
She's been making new noises, almost like coos. Her cries have become different as well. You can tell when she's mad, tired, hungry, and such.
She makes good eye contact, and is interested in toys, when we sing to her, make faces, etc. I think she's starting to try to use her hands more as well.

So that's Anya's 2 month update!
