I have decided to take the February Photo a Day challenge. I’m not intending to post on this blog every day, but I’ll try to update my Flickr daily.

Today’s challenge prompt: “Your view today.” I hosted my very first tea party in our new home.

By January 1st, we had quite a bit of snow – a far cry from this year!

Last night, Reuben surprised me with these lovely flowers. I love the way the roses are varicolored, and the purple flowers add a lovely accent. Even the greenery is beautiful! My man has such good taste.

After supper, he put away the food, washed the dishes, and cleaned the kitchen.

Every day I am reminded why I fell in love with this amazing guy. He always finds a way to make me feel loved.

What’s something special someone did for you lately?

On Saturday we acquired our first Christmas Tree!

The woods were gorgeous that day. It had rained the night before, and there were little droplets frozen onto the branches of the trees.

We had so much fun decorating the tree together. I still need to get a skirt and a topper for it, but we’re pretty happy with how it looks.

When are you getting your tree?

My cousin’s little girl, Mariah, from Ireland. What bright, beautiful eyes she has!

Positioned camera with sun at back of subject. Backed away from subject and zoomed in to eliminate wide-angle distortion.

I am pleased and happy (excited!) to announce that I am engaged to be married! Words cannot describe my complete joy.

Here’s my gorgeous ring. It’s white gold with my birthstone (garnet) and two tiny diamonds on the side.

We have yet to do an engagement photo session, so ya’ll will have to be content with these photos for now.
